Totally Safe Moon Project Guide

Is Totally Safe Moon Project on PS5, Xbox, Switch or Android?

Updated ยท 3 min read

Totally Safe Moon Project is only available on Windows PC through Steam. There is no PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS version, and none has been announced as of November 1, 2026. If you see an "APK" or mobile download, it is not official.

Confirmed platforms

PlatformStatus
Windows 10/11 (Steam)Available since October 30, 2026
macOSNot available (Steam lists Windows only)
Linux / SteamOSNo native build listed
PlayStation 5 / PS4Not announced
Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One / Game PassNot announced
Nintendo Switch / Switch 2Not announced

The Steam store data and SteamDB both list Windows as the only supported system, and the system requirements require a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 install with DirectX 12. Every official trailer and announcement points to Steam.

Why do people search for PS5, Xbox and Android?

Google suggests "ps5", "xbox", "ps4" and "android" for this game because co-op party games like it often end up on consoles, and because many younger players see clips on YouTube and TikTok and want to play on whatever they own. Right now, though, Fake Moon is a two-person studio that has only shipped the Steam version. Their launch post talks about the Steam release only, and neither the Steam page nor the developers' Reddit posts mention console or mobile plans.

If a console version is announced, it will show up on the official channels first: the Steam page, the game's X account @MoonProjectGame and the rokaplay Discord. We will update this page if that happens.

A warning about APKs and "free" downloads

Search suggestions for this game also include "apk", "online fix" and free-download terms. There is no official Android version, so any APK using the name is either a different game or malware. Cracked "online fix" builds are piracy and a common source of account-stealing malware. The game costs $5.99 at full price on Steam; see release date and price.

Can you play it on Steam Deck?

Valve has not rated the game for Steam Deck yet (it shows as Unknown), so we cannot confirm how well it runs. With no native Linux build and no official controller support, expect to rely on Proton and custom controls. On handhelds that run Windows (such as ROG Ally or Legion Go), it is a normal Windows game, but check the system requirements: the minimum GPU is a GTX 1060 and the recommended one an RTX 2060, which is demanding for handheld hardware.

Can you play with a controller?

Not officially. The developer filled in Steam's controller-support questionnaire and marked no Xbox, PlayStation or Steam Input controller support, so the game is designed for mouse and keyboard. The official screenshots and gameplay videos confirm keyboard prompts: Q to drop, E to interact, I to invite friends, and the mouse wheel to push and pull held objects. You may be able to map a controller yourself with Steam Input, but expect a rough experience.

Playing with friends on different platforms

Because there is only one platform, everyone in your group needs the Steam PC version. Co-op is online only; see the multiplayer guide for the player limit and how to invite friends.
